Squad Q visited the St Andrew's Home for the Aged on a fine Sat morning. It also happened to be the release date for Harry Potter new book. JJ was worried that he could not collect his book from the Post Office in time but thank God he made it in time. We set off to the Home from Clementi MRT and nearly lost our way. haha... it was along Clementi Ave 5 but we steer off course initially. Eventually, we made it to the Home.

The Boys spent the 1st hour helping the Home to clean the windows and fan before settling down to chat with the old grandmas. Initially, they were a bit shy but they managed to overcome their fear and ended up playing mahjong and chatting with the ah mas...

Finally, we ended the visit with a small performance - singing "Lao Shu Ai Dao Mi" to the ah mas. The grannies enjoyed themselves and some of them were clapping their hands. Kaijie and a few Boys did a great job coordinating this performance!

I'm very proud of my Boys as they overcome their initial fear and demonstrated servanthood and love for the poor - like Jesus. Community Service is all about showing love and compassion for the poor through service. Well done, Boys!
